In the meantime, here&#8217;s one more pair of <a title=\"Mirror Twins\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=1459\">mirror twins<\/a> for consideration.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Twin 2  b7\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pyRgNxii8pk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><a title=\"Another Major Second: The 10\/9\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=952\">The 2-<\/a> is a common melody note in my songs, and in the blues. It goes well with the blue note <a title=\"The Septimal Minor Third\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=1314\">7b3<\/a> &#8212; there is an extremely common <a title=\"The Septimal Minor Third\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=1314\">melody that goes\u00a07b3, 2-, 1<\/a>. It&#8217;s a darker, more dissonant note than its comma sibling, <a title=\"Compound Notes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=383\">the 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The b7 is dissonant and gorgeous &#8212; check out the sequence at the end of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=490\">this post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Each note is a compound of three legs on the <a title=\"The Lattice\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=342\">lattice<\/a> &#8212; two fifths, or a factor of 9, and a major third, a factor of 5. By the logic of the <a title=\"A Mirror Quad\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=1501\">last post<\/a>, the short leg should predominate, which would make the 2- slightly <a title=\"The Compass Points\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=1273\">overtonal<\/a> and stable, and the b7 slightly <a title=\"A Reciprocal Note: The Fourth\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=397\">reciprocal<\/a> and unstable.<\/p>\n<p>This proves out when I listen to the video. Even though the 2- is distant from the center, and quite dissonant, it still feels stable. The <a title=\"Tonal Gravity\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=1076\">tonal gravity field<\/a> is <a title=\"Polarity\" href=\"http:\/\/www.garygarrett.me\/?p=1484\">&#8220;pulling&#8221; rather than &#8220;pushing.&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m setting up here for a map of the tonal gravity field. I think I can put some numbers on this stuff. Coming soon.
